Karissa Narukami

Karissa Narukami, born in 1998 in Richmond, Canada, was diagnosed with moderate to severe Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of 2. However, her artistic journey began early on, as her parents discovered her talent when she was around the same age as the diagnoses. While passing by a carnival, Karissa drew the scene with remarkable accuracy, showcasing her gifted topographic memory.

With passion and determination, Karissa delved into various art forms, including drawing, painting, and sculpting. Her artwork is characterized by detailed images and countless lines that document her incredible imagination, even capturing elements that may go unnoticed by others. Despite her ASD diagnosis, Karissa's artistic abilities have shone brightly, showcasing her unique talent and creativity.
